What is Alignment, and Why Does it Matter?

Let’s talk about alignment. It might not sound like the most exciting topic, but trust me—it’s life-changing.


Alignment is when your thoughts, emotions, and actions are in sync with the things you say you want. It’s when you stop resisting your desires and start fully stepping into them. And when you master it? Manifestation, success, and transformation happen naturally.


If you’ve ever felt stuck—like you want more money, love, health, or happiness but keep running into roadblocks—chances are you’re out of alignment. The good news? You can shift that starting today.


Are You Lined Up With What You Want?

Think about something you truly desire—whether it’s a thriving career, financial abundance, deeper relationships, or optimal health. Now, check in with yourself:

  • Do you feel excited about it?

Here’s the truth: When you focus on not having what you want, you’re pushing it away. When you’re aligned with your desires, you feel hopeful, eager, and energized about them—before they even show up.

Your emotions are the best indicator of your alignment. Here’s how to tell where you stand:


  • Feeling good? You’re in alignment.
  • Feeling frustrated, doubtful, or stuck? You’re out of alignment.


It’s that simple. The more positive your emotional state, the more aligned you are with the best version of yourself—and the faster you attract what you want.


My Personal Story: How Alignment Transformed My Life

When I lost eight dress sizes in six months, it wasn’t because I forced myself to diet or suffer through workouts I hated. It was because I was completely lined up with what I wanted.


I looked in the mirror and thought, Your outside doesn’t match your inside. I wasn’t focused on what I didn’t want (feeling unhealthy or stuck in old habits). Instead, I focused on what felt good—eating nourishing food, moving my body, and enjoying the process.


I didn’t count calories or obsess over weight loss. I just made choices that aligned with my goal, one meal and one workout at a time. And guess what? The transformation happened naturally.


The same principle applies to everything in life. If you’re struggling to manifest your desires, check in: Are you focused on enjoying the journey or stressing over the outcome?


The Alignment Formula: How to Get Everything You Want

If you want to master alignment, follow this simple process:


1. Get Clear on Your Desire

Write down exactly what you want. Be specific. More money? How much? A new job? What kind? A healthier body? What does that look and feel like?


2. Check Your Energy

Notice how you feel about your goal. If you feel doubt, fear, or frustration, shift your focus to something that excites you about it.


3. Act As If It’s Already Yours

Live as if your desire is already on its way. Make choices that align with having it now. If you want financial abundance, feel abundant now. If you want better health, treat your body like you already have that health.


4. Stop Resisting & Start Flowing

When you focus on not having what you want, you create resistance. Instead, focus on how good it feels to move toward your goal.


5. Enjoy the Journey

Alignment isn’t about struggle—it’s about ease and flow. When you love the process, results come naturally.


Real-Life Proof: How I Aligned With the Perfect Job

In 2008, my husband lost his job, and we lived off our savings for two years. I had been a stay-at-home mom for 15 years with zero recent job experience and no college degree.


I could have spiraled into fear (Who would hire me? How will I support my family?). But instead, I chose alignment. I decided: If I’m going to leave my home and kids, it’s going to be for something meaningful.


I didn’t know where to look. But when I got into my van and prayed for guidance, an intuitive nudge told me to check out a new gym at the end of my street.


I almost ignored it. But I trusted the feeling. I pulled into the parking lot, saw a Help Wanted sign, and walked in.


Long story short? I got hired on the spot—even without experience. Because I was lined up with what I wanted: work that mattered, in an uplifting environment.


The Secret to Manifesting Anything

If you take one thing away from this, let it be this:


Align with what you want, and it will align with you.


Stop obsessing over the “how” and start focusing on the feeling of already having it. When you approach your goals with excitement instead of lack, the universe meets you halfway.

It would be a crying shame to keep her stuffed away, never to contribute her gifts and talents to the world, wouldn’t it? Your inner genius is very wise and wholly intelligent. If you take time every day to ask her questions to which you seek answers, she might surprise you with the creative ways she nudges you to be the unrestrained genius you have wanted to give you the answers to the test.

If you listen to your body, which is talking to you all the time, you will have a much better handle on your real needs and what are just coping strategies. You may feel like there is a void you can’t fill. Stop, breathe in three sharp breaths, hold for three seconds, and exhale slowly—repeat three times. When you tune in to your actual needs to get more sleep, start a project you’ve been putting off, or engage in a creative outlet and take action, you will avoid the frustration that comes with the myriad of ways we can find to procrastinate and become out of alignment with our true selves. With practice, it will become clear how to end cycles of procrastination that breed self-doubt and allow yourself to feel fulfilled, attuned, and complete.

A balanced and regulated nervous system supports not only your inner child, who needs you to stay with her when she feels insecure and afraid of the “situation” you might be going through, but it will exponentially change your outer world as you walk with confidence and assurance that who you are, as you are is the only person you can be. The real you is when you are simultaneously connected to your soul, your inner child, your intuitive guidance, and your body. Not a single part of you is being denied, ignored, or abandoned. Your body holds all of the past memories, good or bad, through the conditioning of the nervous system, and it just so happens that your spirit also lives in your body.

Your job has never been to do hard things. Your job is to find the way to doing challenging things more easily. Another way to say that is to let go of the resistance you added to the experience and let yourself find the more simple path. Imagine this: You're on a rowing boat, facing upstream, fighting against the current, thinking, “If I just paddle harder, I’ll get somewhere!” But there’s one caviat; all rivers flow downstream. Upstream padding is not what is needed most. Setting the paddle down and letting the current take you is easier. But, if it was that easy, everyone would be doing it. Haha

The Power of three is everywhere in our lives. It starts with God, Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Also, Christ rose on the 3rd day. Why 3? The number 3 biblically represents divine wholeness, completeness, and perfection. We spend most of our lives trying to connect the Body, Mind, and Spirit to feel whole. Our personal patterns of becoming the highest versions of ourselves involve Growth, Expansion, and the Journey that eventually becomes the story and legacy we leave behind. It is also the number indicating time – past, present, future, birth, life, and death. If you look at the patterns of 3 in your life, you may discover the lessons you were being called to learn so you could live more fully in Harmony, Wisdom, and Understanding.
